The Iran Circle, Inc. is a non-profit organization, dedicated to raising awareness and cultural development for Iran and the Iranian diaspora. This NGO was founded based on a student-driven project, started in 2017 at Harvard with the voluntary cooperation of a number of Iranian students and alumni in Boston, in order to create a bridge for transferring the knowledge of scholars and researchers to the public in Iran and in the other parts of the world. The structure of this program includes talks and conversations presenting research related to Iran, followed by video-, audio- and text-based educational content creation to make the knowledge, as widely as possible, accessible. Following this vision, The Iran Circle has been holding scholarly presentations, conversations and panel discussions, as online webinars, or physically at Harvard, Boston University and other public and academic environments.

 

Our guidelines in this organization are the universal rules governing academic environments. So, as much as we avoid self-censorship, we have also avoided political and religious biases.

We believe that "Iran", independent of its current politics and geographical borders, is a thousands-of-years-old cultural structure, whose protection of heritage and global development should not be delayed by religious and political disagreements. Tomorrow's culture, society and politics will be determined by our today's knowledge and actions.

The Iran Circle does not have any political or religious orientation, and its purpose is exclusively to present academic analyses in relation to Iran.
